Konrad Oberhofer's Sauvignon appears in the glass of a beautiful, bright yellow colour with slight greenish highlights. On the nose, aromas of gooseberries and blackcurrants emerge, with a hint of sambuca and a light touch of nettle and flint. On the palate, however, it is lively, with a fresh character and well-balanced, refreshing acidity. The fruity and floral aromas also emerge in the mouth, revealing the true character of this wine. It originates from super careful processing of grapes from the estate's beautiful vineyards, with composite soils of clay, lime, porphyry and fine gravel. In the cellar, the grapes are lightly pressed, while the skins remain in contact with the must for about 8 hours before pressing. The must is then separated from the residues through natural precipitation and then left to ferment at a controlled temperature. A pleasantly aromatic white, this Sauvignon goes well with hors d'oeuvres, fish dishes and even white meats.
