Villa Locatelli is the historic mansion in the centre of the Angoris Estate, immersed in a centuries-old park that surrounds it with greenery and silence. And it is precisely around the historic mansion that the estate's 55 hectares of vineyards are developed. Villa Locatelli, however, is also a dynamic line, suitable for every occasion, in perfect harmony with the freshness and vivacity typical of the wines produced in this enchanted corner of Italy. A fine example of this is this Sauvignon, Doc Friuli Colli Orientali, which comes from grapes cultivated using certified sustainable methods. After cold maceration, the must is started to ferment at a controlled temperature. The wine obtained is then aged for about 8 months in stainless steel containers and subsequently refined in the bottle for 1 month before release. Brilliant straw yellow, with clear greenish reflections, the nose reveals all the aromatic power of the variety. Delicate, with notes of elderflower, spearmint, basil, sage, yellow peach and even papaya. The palate then reveals a pleasantly rich and dense white, full and elegant. A long white with great minerality. With an important but well-integrated acidity. Ideal with sautè of mussels and clams, grilled fish, vegetables, asparagus and boiled eggs or tasty risottos.
Tenuta di Angoris has been in the municipality of Cormons since 1648, the year in which the Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand III of Habsburg thanked Locatello Locatelli for his service in the 30 Years War by donating 300 fields in the area known as 'Langoris'. Today, it is Marta Locatelli who runs the family business, thanks to the collaboration of oenologist Alessandro Bologna, who is in turn assisted by a dynamic and cohesive staff. The Tenuta's 75 hectares of vineyards are located in the most suitable areas for regional viticulture (DOC Friuli Isonzo - DOC Friuli Colli Orientali - DOC Collio). The Angoris Estate started a long time ago on a path aimed at respecting the environment and natural resources. Since 2017, in fact, they have been able to boast S.Q.N.P.I. recognition - Sistema di Qualità Nazionale Produzione Integrata (National Quality System for Integrated Production) - an agri-food production system that uses all means of production and defence of agricultural production from adversities, aimed at minimising the use of synthetic chemical substances and rationalising fertilisation, in compliance with ecological principles.
