  • It is born in the heart of Chianti Classico, amidst sunny vineyards and rolling hills. This is the Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG Le Masse di Greve of the Azienda Agricola Lanciola, a wine of tradition that embodies the strength and passion of skilled winegrowers. Greve in Chianti, the production area of this prized red Riserva, enjoys a warm and temperate climate, with soils rich in marl and limestone. These unique pedoclimatic conditions create an ideal terroir for the production of Sangiovese grapes of the highest quality. The grapes, hand-picked at the moment of perfect ripeness, are carefully selected to guarantee the highest quality of the finished product. In the winery we start with destemming, after which the grapes ferment at a controlled temperature in steel tanks. The wine then matures for 24 months in second-passage oak barriques, developing an elegant character. Ruby red in colour, with garnet tones, the nose reveals a broad and enveloping bouquet, with notes of ripe red fruit, vanilla, sweet spices and leather. In the mouth, the wine reveals a medium structure, with well-developed tannins and crisp acidity that lends freshness. The finish is long and persistent, with fruity and spicy hints that invite you to take another sip. A wine for the whole meal, it is perfect to accompany the various courses of Tuscan cuisine. In fact, it goes well with savoury first courses, grilled or stewed red meats, mature cheeses and typical cold cuts.

    Today we are at the Gates of Florence, but surrounded by greenery. A few kilometres from the city, in fact, on the undulating hills of Impruneta, near Pozzolatico, is the Azienda Agricola Lanciola. We are in the 'Colli Fiorentini' area, in the heart of Chianti Classico. Here the company can count on about 14 hectares, 10 of which are vineyards, with an optimal south-west exposure, on particularly suitable soils. We are about 300 metres above sea level and among the rows, in addition to the ever-present Sangiovese, there is also Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, as well as the indigenous Canaiolo and Colorino.
