    • An angel whispers in our ear to taste this wine. And we should always listen to the angels! Cotes de Provence Rosé "Whispering Angel" is a fine example of Rosé de Provence, produced by Château d'Esclans. Son of a blend of 70% Grenache grapes, 20% Cinsault and the rest Vermentino. An incredibly delicate wine, produced with all due care to preserve the freshness and pleasantness of the initial fruit. Harvested by hand, only in the morning, to avoid the hottest hours of the day. Super soft pressing and delicate colouring obtained without any maceration of the skins. This is followed by a slow fermentation and maturation on its fine lees, in stainless steel at a controlled temperature. The result is a very pleasant wine. Fresh and light, in the glass it has an incredible soft pink colour. On the nose, fruity notes reminiscent of red berries, currants, raspberry. Then fresh citrus and exquisite balsamic notes. In the mouth it is savoury and naturally endowed with a fine acidity that makes it so darn easy to drink. Excellent as an aperitif, on the table it requires a delicate pairing with fish dishes. Excellent with grilled meats or mixed fried foods.

Imagine a lovely place. One of those places that immediately brings serenity. A castle, a beautiful villa, in the heart of Provence. Green meadows, blue skies and a nursery of colourful flowers frame tidy vineyards that seem to reach all the way to the sea. After all, we are north-east of Saint-Tropez and the Mediterranean Sea is right there in the background. Château d'Esclans is all that, but probably more. Sacha Lichine bought the estate in 2006 with the ambition of creating the best Rosés in the world. A goal not exactly within just anyone's reach. But, thanks to innovative winemaking methods, his wines have definitively revolutionized the style of Rosé de Provence. Today, Château d'Esclans is part of the large Moèt Hennessy group.
