Armand de Brignac Brut Gold was the first cuvée introduced to the Maison's portfolio, and it is still the company's most representative wine. It is hard not to recognize the prestigious bottle at first glance, with its gold robe and embossed logo. The Cattier family's ambition was to create the best "cuvée de Prestige" to celebrate the arrival of the 21st century. They have done so through this interesting blend that encapsulates all the style and tradition of Champagne. Based on three vintages, with wines made from grapes harvested in some of the region's finest terroirs, with 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay and 20% Meunier grapes. After blending, the wine matures on the lees for at least 3 years before disgorging. Bright yellow its color, this wine has hints of peach, apricot and cranberry. This is followed by notes of candied citrus, orange blossom and a delicate brioche finish. Rich on the palate, this cuvée has notes of exotic fruit, cherry and hints of lemon, vanilla and honey. Already excellent today, this Champagne is also suitable for the more patient and for those who appreciate Champagnes with a strong character. Well stored in the cellar, this bottle can certainly continue to evolve for several years. Ideal as an aperitif, it is perfect paired with seared scallops and freshwater fish.
