  • In Sardinia, the red alter ego of the classic Vementino is undoubtedly the powerful Cannonau. If the former captivates with its freshness and minarality, the latter is pure strength. A great red, powerful and structured. A fine example is this Kiri from Cantina del Vermentino di Monti. Produced with pure Cannonau grapes, harvested in the hills, where they enjoy a beneficial day to night temperature range, this red wine is produced thanks to a long maceration of skins that continues throughout the time of alcoholic fermentation. The result is a wine characterized by an intense ruby red colour. The nose reveals an ample and persistent bouquet, reminiscent of well-ripened red and black fruit. In the mouth it is essential, without frills or embellishments. A dry, well-balanced wine. Rich but not excessive and pleasantly drinkable.
