    "Perdera" Monica di Sardegna DOC 2022
  • The Sisini estate of Argiolas covers about 60 hectares in the hills of the municipality of the same name. We are in the south of the region, not far from the headquarters of the winery. Here the vineyards enjoy excellent exposure and grow healthy and strong at an altitude of between 250 and 300 metres above sea level. This mild soil and climate is ideal for the production of quality grapes, from which Argiolas produces important whites and reds. Perdera, Monica di Sardegna DOC, has an intense ruby red colour. On the nose, the winey and intense scents are evident. In the mouth it is round, with a finish that tends almost to sweetness, very typical for the Monica vine. To be served with dishes characterised by an intense flavour, this Perdera can also accompany tasty fish soups or, for those who love really intense flavours, even with the classic lamb stew.

These are the five estates, covering a total of over 200 hectares, that the Argiolas family owns in southern Sardinia. The history of the Argiolas winery began in the late 1930s, when Antonio set up his new agricultural enterprise. Thanks to his commitment, for decades, the winery grew and established itself in Sardinia and beyond. This has also been the case with the arrival of his children and, today, his grandchildren.
