If we think of the Colli Orientali del Friuli production area, we cannot but turn our attention to the most typical of the white grape varieties. An international variety, to tell the truth, but here, on these enchanting hills, it manages to express itself at superior levels. We are obviously talking about Sauvignon Blanc, an aromatic and versatile variety capable of creating delicately sweet or dry wines, always accompanied, however, by that typical vegetal note "that only Sauvignon" can guarantee. Bastianich offers here a super essential version. Pure in its essence. Pure Sauvignon Blanc, from the company's own vineyards over 20 years old. Vinified 100% in stainless steel, part of the mass, about 30%, after the alcoholic fermentation undergoes malolactic fermentation to add creaminess and complexity to the finished wine. Bright straw yellow, the nose reveals aromas of grapefruit, herbs and gooseberries. In the mouth, however, it is above all fresh and elegant, with good acidity and a typical and persistent aftertaste. Excellent as an aperitif, it is a wine that can accompany both fish and vegetable dishes with pleasure. Excellent, for example, with a tasty omelette with herbs or a risotto with asparagus.
