The Bastianich family, that of the legendary Joe, has a history deeply linked to wine and to Friuli in particular. In fact, since 1997 the Bastianich estate has been able to count on no less than 40 hectares of vineyards, located in two distinct areas of the DOC Colli Orientali del Friuli. Part of them are on the Buttrio and Premariacco hills, in the hottest and southernmost area of the denomination. Here ripening is influenced by the warmth coming from the sea and the grapes are perfect for the production of the most full-bodied and structured wines. The other part of the estate is located in the hills of Cividale del Friuli and enjoys a completely different climate. Often affected by the Bora, the cold wind from the north, it produces wines with greater aromatic intensity. In the Bastianich wine range there are extremely territorial whites and reds, with some peaks of absolute excellence.
