Pighin gifts us an emotion called Friulano DOC Collio. A straightforward wine that translates a thousand inspirations of the territory into aromas. It is pale straw yellow in colour, streaked with green. In its youth; the reflections are as intense as the array of fruit aromas it carries. It displays a complex, articulated, striking bouquet, with distinct hints of melon and nettle. Soft on the palate, the mouthfeel is particularly savoury and mineral. The Friulano DOC Collio Pighin defies cliches, so much so that it is appreciable and multifaceted even after 3 or 4 years. Its trump card? An eclectic personality, a rare harmony: with San Daniele ham it creates memorable alchemies, and with fish dishes it fears no comparison.
