    "Marcello" Lambrusco Spumante Dry Gran Cru
  • Marcello is the name of the company's founder. And Marcello is also its most representative wine. In this case it is a special Lambrusco Spumante Dry Gran Cru, made from 100% Lambrusco of the Maestri variety. Its particular name seems to derive from 'Villa Maestri' in the municipality of San Pancrazio, Parma. This Lambrusco is particularly intense, so much so that, in the past, it was often used to cut wines less endowed with character, tannins and acidity. Processed as carefully as in this case, however, it can produce wines of great value. Elaborated with the classic Charmat method, therefore in autoclave, this Marcello is a Lambrusco of superior quality, awarded by Italian and foreign wine critics. Very intense ruby red with violet reflections, as soon as it is poured it is covered with a soft, evanescent froth. The nose is fragrant and fruity, with hints of morello cherry, wild berries and notes of rose. In the mouth it is enveloping and pleasantly fruity. An extremely versatile wine capable of accompanying with satisfaction from a simple aperitif to a long, relaxing end to a meal.

    About 70 hectares on the first hills overlooking the Po Valley. Vineyards positioned between 220 metres and 300 metres above sea level. Optimal slopes to guarantee good drainage for the vines and orientation of the rows to ensure constant sun exposure for the ripening grapes. All this is Ariola, a winery founded in 2003 and already able to place its wines at the top of world rankings. Merit, no doubt from the vineyards, but also from the skill of Marcello, its founder, who has been able to give his company a precise direction. Thus the processing still follows the strict seasonal rhythms, like the phases of rest and maturation of the wines. Over everything, however, reigns a profound respect for the land and for nature. And so, from the estate vineyards, traditional white and red wines come to life, easily recognisable for their quality and stylistic consistency. Above all Lambrusco and Malvasia, of course, and a sea of fresh bubbles. But also still and classic reds, to which are added distillates, craft beers and precious elixirs.
