A pure Aglianico, carefully selected by hand to be vinified at its best, thanks to a particular maceration at low temperature that allows to control at best the generous tannic charge of the finished wine. This is how Ceraso was born, Aglianico IGP proposed here by Azienda Agricola San Salvatore 1988. Ruby red still furrowed by purple flashes that reveal its young and fresh nature, this interesting wine from Campania presents a pleasant and extremely characteristic bouquet, with notes of red and dark fruits, such as blueberries and plums, as well as clear hints of flowers. Well-calibrated, then, are the more elegant spicy notes that invite you to drink and thus discover a soft and gentle wine. Pleasantly fruity, it has a silky tannic texture and fresh acidity. Perfect with the juiciest red meats, this is the glass you will happily sip while staying up late in the evening.
I saw a buffalo among the vines... And I drank wine. You are greeted by this phrase when you enter the website of Azienda Agricola San Salvatore 1988. Just so we don't forget that here we are in a magical place, where nature is able to give us good and inimitable things. Like the wine, of course, but also the buffalo from Campania, unique and inimitable. The company's history began in the mid-1940s, in Boscoreale, on the slopes of Vesuvius. And, thanks to a long journey made of simple but true things, today San Salvatore 1988 has become a beautiful reality, committed to organic and biodynamic agriculture, never intensive. We are in the Cilento National Park, in an area between Stio, Paestum and Giungano. Here are the vineyards and the modern wine cellar, equipped with a 96Kw photovoltaic system that reduces the emission of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere to a minimum. A total of 97 hectares, of which about 22 are planted with vines, with the rest divided between orchards, olive groves and woodland. There are also 450 buffaloes.
