      "Redimore" Irpinia Aglianico DOC 2020
    • There is no winery in Campania more deeply tied to Mastroberardino's Aglianico. And this Redimore, produced with grapes from the Mirabella Eclano estate, is undoubtedly one of the most representative. A vineyard about 15 years old, excellently exposed on a hill about 400 metres above sea level. Vinification involves a long period of maceration on the skins and maturation in wood for a period of no less than 12 months, followed by a further 6 months in the bottle. The result is a wine characterized by an intense ruby red colour. The nose is dominated by red berries, with persuasive notes of spice and coffee. In the mouth it is rich, full-bodied and decidedly long on the finish. An important wine that requires the right pairing to be fully appreciated.

      It's hard to think of Campania wine without referring to the Mastroberardino winery, one of the oldest and most important producers in the region. It dates back to 1878 when it was founded by Angelo Mastroberardino in Atripalda, just outside Avellino. After the phylloxera disaster, the family engaged in a long process of rediscovery and especially the enhancement of the great native vines and typicality of Irpinia, convinced that they could succeed not only in Campania and Italy but throughout the world. A winning bet! Mastroberardino is today, in fact, a great reality that can count on over 250 hectares of vineyards, divided into different estates, scattered in the most suitable areas of the region. And among its wines there are some of the Campania labels most awarded by international wine critics.
