Pinot Noir Rosé Fallwind 2022 is a DOC wine from South Tyrol. The winemaking tradition here is rooted in history. South Tyrol, after all, boasts a unique climate with both Alpine and Mediterranean influences, which helps create wines of high quality and distinctive character. Here Pinot Noir, prized for its versatility and ability to adapt to different soils and climates, has been successfully cultivated for more than 150 years. Fallwind rosé is made using the saignée method, which involves gently extracting the must during fermentation. This technique results in a fresh rosé wine with a fruity profile and pleasant acidity. Fallwind has a delicate salmon-pink color, with distinctly fruity aromas of raspberry and strawberry. It is fresh and fruity in the mouth, with a pleasant acidity that makes it very balanced and pleasant to drink. The Pinot Noir Rosé Fallwind proves to be particularly versatile, suitable for accompanying both snacks with a cutting board and pizza. Served slightly cooler, on the other hand, it goes wonderfully with first and second courses of fish. Impossible to be disappointed.
About 2million bottles a year. Very high average quality. About 350 members. These are the numbers, and the facts, that characterize the fine cooperative winery of San Michele Appiano. Founded in 1907 by the will of a few winemakers in their own visionary way, today it is one of the most solid entities in northern Italy, with wines appreciated, and awarded, in every part of the world. If one thinks of Alto Adige and its good varietals, San Michele Appiano cannot be missed. Indeed, its production is dominated by wines made from the region's typical grapes, from Gewürztraminer to Müller Thurgau. From Sauvignon to Riesling. From Pinot Blanc to Lagrein. All mountain grapes that grow thanks to the mild climate and unique soils of its vineyards. Today the winery can count on about 400 hectares under vine. A huge area, if you think of South Tyrol, but small in absolute terms. Especially when you consider the number of winery members. In managing the vineyards, a team of technicians and agronomists constantly supports each contributing member, offering valuable advice on how to conduct their rows. The result is grapes of the highest quality, which, once they reach the winery, are processed to enhance every nuance, thanks to the most innovative winemaking techniques. Welcome to Alto Adige.
