Well balanced, this Champagne, even with its enormous production, remains a benchmark and is always enjoyable. In this bottling, ripe white fruit is cut with citrus, with an edge of toastiness that gives complexity. Drink now.
A rich note of grilled nut meets flavors of Asian pear, preserved lemon and mineral on the palate of this creamy Champagne, driven by a firm streak of refreshing acidity. Drink now through 2022.
Moèt Impérial can undoubtedly be considered the most emblematic Champagne of the great French Maison. It was produced for the first time in 1869 and, according to experts, it is still the wine that best represents the Moèt & Chandon style. An expert blend of over 100 different wines, 20-30% of which are reserve wines specially selected to enhance their maturity, complexity and consistency. A "non-vintage" of great elegance that comes from a balanced mix of Pinot Noir, Meunier and obviously Chardonnay. In the glass it has a beautiful golden straw yellow colour, with a fine and particularly persistent perlage. On the nose notes of green apple, citrus and white flowers to which mineral recognitions are added that may be reminiscent of chalk. On the palate it is rich and full-bodied. Fresh and very long. A very pleasant glass.
It was the year 1743 when Claude Moèt founded his Champagne House. And it was an immediate success, to the point that Claude Moèt's wines became the favorites of the court of the King of France. Passed down, from generation to generation, the winery acquired its current name and grew unceasingly year after year until, in the early twentieth century, it became the undisputed leader of the entire Champagne appellation. And after consolidating its position in practically all markets worldwide, the maison began an unprecedented acquisition policy that led, in a relatively few years, to the acquisition of most of the French beverage brands, starting with Ruinart and Lanson and shortly after the merger with Hennessy. Recent history finally sees the birth of the largest luxury hub in the world, today's LVMH. A group that is the only one to be present in all the most important sectors of the extreme luxury market. Today Moèt Chandon can count on a little less than 1200 hectares of vineyards and cellars that unfold for more than 28 kilometres underground. An unmissable place for visits by all the world's enthusiasts.
