Cold Fact, this is certainly something few people know, is an album by singer-songwriter Sixto Rodriguez. Not too well known in these latitudes, it is even considered a cultural phenomenon in South Africa, also known internationally through the film "Searching for Sugar Man." Cold Fact is also a play, used by Jordan to identify the "cold soak" technique, or "pre-fermentation maceration," used to bring out the intense flavors of Sauvignon Blanc, a grape variety known to be highly aromatic. The result is a wine characterized by incredible freshness and aromatic pleasantness. Straw yellow with obvious greenish hues, the nose reveals aromas of black currant and fig, balanced by a complex fruity and sweet structure of Provençal herbs. Perfect correspondence in the mouth with what was perceived earlier. This aromatic white is simply ideal with vegetarian dishes as well as salads and pastas dressed with fresh vegetable sauces, fish and fresh cheeses. For lovers of freshness and strong aromatics, however, this Sauvignon is suitable right from the aperitif ritual.
