Morellino di Scansano DOCG, Santa Maria was produced for the first time in 2000. Young and dynamic, Santa Maria is a fresh, soft and fruity wine, ideal for any occasion. It comes from a super careful processing of Sangiovese grapes, on this occasion flanked by a part of Cabernet Sauvignon. At the end of the vinification process, the wine is aged for about a year in steel vats, before meeting the bottle. Santa Maria has a beautiful bright ruby red colour. The bouquet, ample and elegant, reflects the typical scents of Sangiovese, with notes of red berries, a delicate spiciness and hints of violets. In the mouth, however, it is lively, fresh and pleasantly silky. Harmonious and persistent, it leaves a long memory of small red berries and a nice spicy note. This is the traditional red wine that was created to accompany stewed meats, such as rabbit or chicken, but is also fabulous with medium-aged cheeses.
