Bourgueil AOC Franco de Porc is an organic red wine produced in the Loire by Domaine de la Chevalerie. 100% Cabernet Franc grapes and a natural winemaking approach. These are the key ingredients in the production of this French wine with great personality. The grapes come from 25-year-old vineyards located in Restigné, in the Bourgueil region. The soils here are composed of clays and calcareous sands, which give the wine a distinctive minerality. Viticulture is biodynamic and winemaking natural. The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented with indigenous yeasts. The wine is then aged in old oak barrels for about 12 months. In the glass, it has a brilliant ruby red colour. On the nose, it reveals fresh aromas of redcurrant, raspberry and pepper. In the mouth, it is full-bodied, with a surprising concentration of red fruits, velvety tannins and a long, invigorating finish. A versatile wine, it goes well with a wide variety of dishes.
