    • Terrain The portions of the hill, located further down the valley, with an exposure that goes from south to west, are used for the production of a classic Barolo. Here the soil is of medium texture, rich in carbonates with a balanced supply of nutrients. The sandy component leaves more room for clay, rich in calcium and potassium. The fertility of these vines is on average low and the alternation of lean and more fertile areas guarantees a diversified ripening that nevertheless manages to ensure greater organoleptic breadth.

      Barolo DOCG Bussia 2020
    • The Langa is, in the imagination of many wine lovers, a promised land. An uninterrupted succession of hills characterised by magnificent soils, with ever-changing exposures. Nebbiolo is at home here. The Nebbiolo used in the production of this Barolo DOCG Bussia, in particular, comes from the estate's best vineyards planted between 1993 and 1999. A small plot of just over three hectares, where yields are kept low and the quality of the grapes harvested is particularly high. At the end of the vinification phase, the wine is aged for a long time in large Slavonian oak barrels, for a minimum of 18 months, and then in the bottle. It is only at the end of this long process that we obtain a wine characterised by a typical soft ruby red colour, with a broad bouquet of aromas ranging from roses to sweet spices. In the mouth it is inviting, harmonious, with fine, silky tannins that make the sip extremely long and pleasant. A meditation wine par excellence, it requires an important accompaniment at table. Excellent with game, roasts or mature cheeses.

We are in one of the most fascinating corners of the Langa. We are on the famous Bussia hill, surrounded by vineyards that characterize a landscape declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is here, between Barolo and Monforte d'Alba, that the Coste di Bussia winery, Tenuta Arnulfo, has been located for over 150 years. The winery, founded in 1874 by Luigi Arnulfo, considered the Pioneer of Barolo for his innovative enterprises in the local wine world and in the international wine market, can today count on 11 hectares of vineyards. It produces the typical wines of the area, made strictly from grapes harvested in its own vineyards.
