Chateau Suduiraut
52% Semillon, 48% Sauvignon Blanc. The blend is that of a fragrant Bordeaux Blanc, rich in freshness and with a pleasant aromatic note. It is called Lions de Suduiraut and is a dry white wine. Harvested by hand from only the best bunches, the cellar processing of this white was careful and traditional. Vinified in steel vats, with limited contact with oxygen to bring out the best of the rich potential of the starting fruit, at the end of the transformation the wine undergoes a slow ageing in wood to increase its complexity. The mass, divided into two almost identical parts, is placed partly in vats and partly in oak barrels, at least 25% of which are new. This slow maturation continues for about 6 months, at the end of which the masses are brought together and the finished wine can finally be bottled. In the glass it has a beautiful, intense straw yellow colour, with inviting aromas reminiscent of fresh, sweet fruit. In the mouth it immediately reveals a nice natural savouriness, with a very pleasant touch of freshness brought by a hint of pink grapefruit. Then hints of sweet apple and celery. The palate reveals a medium body, with a fresh and pleasantly spicy finish, with notes of white pepper and chalk. Due to its freshness and ease of drinking, this Bordeaux white is perfect as an aperitif. Excellent with fatty fish, such as salmon, and with lightly spiced preparations.
