At 200 metres above sea level, in the hills of Macerata, comes Ribona Mareggiata, a DOC white wine from Cantina Belisario. The winery's vineyards enjoy a privileged terroir. Loose soils rich in skeleton, exposed to the south-east and caressed by iodine-rich winds from the sea. This unique microclimate gives the Ribona grapes, an indigenous variety also known as Maceratino, unmistakable characteristics. Vinified in white, the grapes are processed with the utmost care to preserve their aromas and freshness. Fermentation, carried out at a controlled temperature, lasts about 20 days, followed by 5 months of ageing in stainless steel tanks. Mareggiata is a young and versatile wine, perfect with fish starters, light first courses, white meats and vegetables. It is also ideal as an aperitif or for a toast with friends.
