If the name of the wine and the winery sounds like a tongue twister... once in the glass, this German white gets straight to the point. If we are looking for a quality Riesling, this bottle should certainly not escape us. According to the complex German classification, this is a Kabinett Riesling, stimulating to the palate thanks to its fine acidity, well balanced by the richness of the fruit and the mineral note that certainly does not go unnoticed. We are talking, let it be clear, about a wine from the region most suited to the production of Riesling grapes, the Mosel. Trittenheimer, from Bischöfliche Weingüter Trier, is made from grapes harvested, by hand, on one of the best and best-known steep slopes of the central Mosel, characterised by a soil rich in grey slate and pebbles. Harvesting is selective, and is followed by an extremely gentle processing of the grapes that involves fermentation in stainless steel and long contact on the fine lees, at least until March of the year following the harvest.
