Kheirè is a word of Greek origin meaning Welcome. A white from Grillo grapes, it is a fine wine of the territory. In fact, this vine was once used almost exclusively for the production of the famous Marsala, while in the last 20 years it has been gradually enhanced thanks to its surprising aromatic richness. Today, in fact, it is increasingly processed in purity to enhance the richness of the fruit and give life to pleasantly territorial wines. Kheirè is Gorghi Tondi's homage to the thousand-year history of Sicily and to the time when the island was an integral part of the glorious Magna Graecia. It is the family's first and most important white wine, produced from the best selection of Grillo grapes grown on our estate overlooking the Mediterranean. A structured and long-lived white wine, with a partial passage in French oak barriques. In the glass it has a straw yellow colour with greenish reflections. The nose is intense and persistent, with fresh citrus and mineral notes, frangipane, ginger, yellow-fleshed fruit and a hint of vanilla. In the mouth it is harmonious and of rare pleasantness. The slightly saline finish makes us feel at the seaside even though we are in the city.
