Native to the Roero, and certainly the area's most representative white grape variety, Arneis originates on the left bank of the Tanaro river. Here the sandy soils on which it is cultivated enhance its elegance and aromas. San Silvestro winery presents it here, obtained from careful processing of grapes from the estate's vineyards. Roero Arneis DOCG Sabbie is an expressive and pleasant white wine that comes from a brief skin maceration and soft pressing of the grapes, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature. Ageing takes place in stainless steel. 100% Arneis, this white wine characterised by a beautiful bright colour has delicate aromas with good persistence. Floral and fruity scents, including chamomile and apricot. Good persistence and structure. A fresh and fragrant wine, this white should be drunk within 2 years. Perfect as an aperitif, it goes well with baked fish, freshwater fish, risotto, shellfish, rabbit or duck.
