Poggio al Tesoro is the Bolgheri estate owned by the Veronese Allegrini Winery. Bolgheri Rosso Il Seggio was born here, in this fortunate land that is only a few kilometres from the sea. It is a wine that gives a pleasant sensation of freshness and intensity of taste and smell from the very first taste. It is, as is traditional in these parts, a fine example of a Bordeaux blend, that is, a blend of the grape varieties grown on the Atlantic coast in the Bordeaux region: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Aged for 15 months in new and second-hand barrique barrels, this wine is a champion of smoothness, offering a pleasant enveloping and silky sip. In the glass it is a beautiful deep ruby red colour. Notes of ripe red fruit, spices and balsamic herbs on the nose. In the mouth it is well structured, thanks to its alcohol content, and absolutely pleasant. The velvety tannin leaves the mouth dry and immediately ready for another sip.
