    Champagne Cuvée Gregory Premier Cru
  • A fresh bubbly wine made to please, and very much so. Michel Mailliard's Cuvée Gregory is a blend of 95% Chardonnay with just a small addition of Pinot Noir to give it body and a bit of structure. Harvested by hand and vinified at a controlled temperature, the base wines are aged on the lees for at least 36 months. It is an admittedly simple Champagne that does not require a special occasion to be uncorked. It is, on the contrary, the wine that can easily be offered every day, to drink alone or paired with a delicious dish. In the glass it has a beautiful straw yellow color that is not too strong. On the nose, it has notes of white flowers, white-fleshed fruit and pastry. The same aromatic sensations are on the palate, where the Cuvée Gregory stands out for its creamy freshness.

From the heart of the Croquette des Blancs, and more precisely from the village of Vertus, come the Champagnes of Michel Mailliard. The location is about 20 kilometers southeast of Epernay. The founder of the winery, Alexis Mailliard, played an important role in the development of the region and is considered one of the most representative rècoltant of Champagne. Today Michel Mailliard is experiencing the transition between the third and fourth generations of the family. The company can count on about 23 hectares of property, half of which are located in Vertus and the rest in the surrounding areas. The most representative vine of the company is the Chardonnay.
