Greco del Molise DOC BIO 2021
  • Greco del Molise DOC, this territorial white wine is made from grapes harvested in the Contrada Camarda Spoltore area, in the province of Pesaro. A vineyard situated at about 200 metres above sea level which enjoys a fine south-eastern exposure. The Greco grape, in this case used alone, is a variety that requires special attention in the cellar. Managed with little care, in fact, it risks giving rise to unbalanced wines, with a high acidity and too 'lean' to be pleasant. The experience of the Di Majo Norante winery, and above all that of its oenologist Riccardo Cotarella, is however a guarantee of quality and the Greco proposed here is rightfully among the best of its type. Fruity and smooth, it is an extremely enjoyable wine. It goes well with delicate dishes, such as seafood. For lovers of fresh cheeses, this Greco is also suitable to accompany cow or buffalo mozzarella and more generally all delicate, slightly matured or spreadable cheeses.

Di Majo Norante has been making wine from its own grapes since 1800, as evidenced by the cellars under the square and in the old family palace in Campomarino. We are in the province of Campobasso, in the Molise region. Today, as in the past, the company produces wines exclusively with grapes from the 123 hectares of the ancient feud of the Marquis Norante di Santa Cristina. With a traditional approach, and trying to preserve all the characteristics of Mediterranean grape varieties. Ancient grapes such as Aglianico, Montepulciano, Sangiovese and the precious Tintilia for the production of red wines. Falanghina and Greco for the whites. Continuous experimentation with these vines has enabled the wines of the di Majo Norante winery to reach more than remarkable levels of quality, conquering increasingly important slices of the market, in Italy and on the main international markets. Great wines that respond well to the complexity of contemporary taste.
