"Verite du Terroir" Côte de Provence Rosé 2023
  • Château La Gordonne offers this Vérité du Terroir, Côtes de Provence AOC Rosé, an organic wine that well represents the beauty and refinement of the Provence region. Situated in the heart of Provence, the Château La Gordonne vineyard covers siliceous and calcareous soils that give the wine a unique minerality. The Mediterranean climate, characterised by mild winters and hot, dry summers, is perfect for growing vines. Finally, the sea breezes blowing in from the coast help keep the grapes cool, favouring slow and uniform ripening. Vérité du Terroir is composed of a blend of Grenache Noir, Syrah and Cinsault. A combination that creates a perfect balance between freshness, complexity and lightness. To preserve the fragrance and quality of the grapes, the harvest is carried out at night, when temperatures are lower. Afterwards, the grapes undergo a soft pressing to extract only the flower must, which is then sent for fermentation. The result is a wine characterised by a very pale, almost peachy pink colour that immediately catches the eye. On the nose, it stands out for its finesse and complexity, with a mineral, floral and fruity bouquet. Citrus notes of pink grapefruit, hints of peach and raspberry can be perceived. In the mouth it is broad and fresh, with aromas of fresh fruit accompanied by notes of rose and violet. The finish is persistent and pleasant, leaving a sensation of cleanliness and refinement. An extremely versatile wine, it accompanies a wide range of dishes. It is perfect as an aperitif, but also pairs wonderfully with light appetisers, salads, fish dishes and white meats.

In the heart of Provence, surrounded by a breathtaking landscape, lies Château La Gordonne, one of the largest and oldest wine estates in the region. With its 350 hectares of single-body vineyards, spread over an exceptional clay-limestone terrain overlooking the Mediterranean, Château La Gordonne is a true paradise for wine lovers. The vineyards, located in a protected basin, benefit from a special microclimate characterised by mild, temperate winters and hot, dry summers. The vines typical of Provence are cultivated, including Grenache, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvèdre, Carbernet Tibouren, Clairette, Semillon and Syrah, from which wines are produced that are distinguished by their elegance, complexity and fidelity to the terroir.
