The history of the Maison Mumm is long and fascinating. The official foundation dates back to 1827 but the link between the Mumm family and the world of wine goes back much further. Today, the Maison's own vineyards cover almost 218 hectares. Pinot Noir dominates, with Chardonnay, especially in the Côte des Blancs, and Meunier, especially in the Vallée de la Marne. Of these, 160 hectares are classified as Grand Cru, located in eight historic villages whose grapes express all the authenticity of the best terroirs in the Champagne region: Aÿ, Bouzy, Ambonnay, Verzy, Verzenay, Mailly, Avize and Cramant.
