CHARACTERISTICS
  • TypeVino bianco fermo
  • Location Umbria
  • Grapes 100% Grechetto
  • Sensations If Sagrantino, the sacred monster of Umbrian oenology, is an important, rich and structured red wine, Grechetto, its white counterpart, is a wine characterized by a beautiful freshness and an agile and straightforward taste, making it a perfect companion for a thousand different occasions. Fratelli Pardi's winery popularizes it in a particularly smooth version. The result of vinification in stainless steel at a low temperature and rapid refinement in the bottle, Pardi's Grechetto has a beautiful straw yellow colour. The nose has a simple and pleasant bouquet, reminiscent of white flowers and fresh fruit. In the mouth it is pleasantly acidic and not too alcoholic. A wine that, precisely in its simplicity, rarely leaves those who taste it disappointed.
  • Vinification The Pardi family name that has always been linked to the territory of Montefalco. First with wine. Then with textiles (Tessitura Pardi). And finally again with wine, with the new generation that has been able to project the activity founded by the great-grandparents into a modern dimension of absolute excellence. The history of Cantina Fratelli Pardi began in 1919 with the brothers Alfredo, Francesco and Alberto Pardi. In the ensuing years the children of the founders decided to follow a different path, from 1949 dedicating themselves to the production of fabrics. In 2002, however, the new generation, consisting of great-grandchildren Francesco, Gianluca Rio and Alberto Mario, decided to rebuild their great-grandparents’ old company. The 11 hectares of vineyards are all exposed to the south-east, at an altitude varying between 280 and 430 m above sea level. The new winery was inaugurated in 2003, and the traditional wines of the area are produced.
