The new world has often created new benchmarks in the vinification of the great international grape varieties of French origin. As in the case of Pinot Noir, whose small, compact bunches have reached the vineyards of half the world from Burgundy. But it is in New Zealand, with its unique climate and inimitable soils, that this grape has reached levels of pure excellence. A fine example is this red wine from Ant Moore, which comes from a region not far from the coast. This gives the wine a fresh finesse that complements the classic red fruit notes. On the nose, in particular, the fragrant scents of small berries take on a very special note, even bringing to mind spices such as white pepper and cloves. In the mouth it is of medium structure and well balanced. Perfectly integrated and barely perceptible are the notes of wood, due to the wise passage in oak barrels.
