    "Labellum" Dry Muscat Basilicata IGT 2023
  • A Muscat outside the box. Dry Muscat is a wine that defies convention. It is, in fact, a surprising interpretation of a grape variety often associated only with sweet wines. Born in the heart of Basilicata, on the other hand, in the hills of Vulture, this Dry Muscat stands out for its surprising personality. 100% Muscat, in this case the grapes have their roots in volcanic soils at an altitude of around 200 metres above sea level. Vinified in white, with soft pressing of the grapes and low-temperature fermentation in steel, this interesting white wine is only refined in steel to preserve the freshness and fruity note typical of the original variety. To the eye it has a luminous straw yellow colour with golden reflections. On the nose, the bouquet is intense and complex, with notes of white flowers, citrus fruits, white peach and a touch of aromatic herbs. In the mouth, however, it is full, fresh and persistent, with a pleasant acidic vein that balances the natural fruity soul of Moscato. The finish is long and persistent, with a return of fruity and floral notes. Perfect as an aperitif, it goes well with fish dishes, shellfish and fresh cheeses. Also try it at the end of a meal with simple dry pastries.
