Today we are in the Modenese hills, in the heart of the Castelvetro district. This is where Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro Secco DOC Corleto di Villa di Corlo was born. Lambrusco Grasparossa in purity, born from the processing of grapes from vineyards rooted in the clayey foothills of San Venanzio di Maranello. A vine with character, Lambrusco Grasparossa is an indigenous Modenese grape known for its strong personality. The grapes, harvested by hand at the peak of their ripeness, undergo a long cold maceration on the skins that lasts 12 to 15 days. This process allows the intense colour and characteristic aromas of Lambrusco to be extracted, giving the wine structure and complexity. Fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature, preserving freshness and vivacity. Intense ruby red in colour, the nose seduces with its winy, enveloping perfume of berries and violets, anticipating a dry, full-bodied and slightly tannic taste. Its delicate effervescence gives a pleasant sensation of freshness and vivacity, making it a perfect wine for any occasion. A versatile wine, it is capable of enhancing the flavours of Modenese tradition... and not only. Cured meats, rich first courses such as tagliatelle al ragù, grilled or stewed red meats and mature cheeses. Also ideal as an aperitif.
Founded in 1998, the company is located in Baggiovara, in the province of Modena. Passionately managed by Antonia Munari, Villa di Corlo is a beautiful reality that produces not only wine but also traditional balsamic vinegar of Modena, thanks to a vinegar cellar located in the attics of the 17th century villa in the centre of the estate. It is located on a land of about 100 hectares, a quarter of which are vineyards. The estate has been owned by the same family for over a century. The primary mission of the company has been outlined from the very beginning in the exclusive use of home-grown grapes combined with state-of-the-art technology. Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon of different clones are cultivated at an altitude of 320 metres above sea level. The winery, built respecting the rural characteristics of the area, has been equipped with the most technologically advanced systems for processing sparkling wines, with the use of cold maceration, to obtain a wine that extracts all the flavours and aromas of the grapes from which it comes. Healthy and pleasant to drink.
