Delicate aromas of citrus, pome fruit and candied blossoms grace the nose of this light-bodied white. It's zesty and brisk on the palate, with a hint of yellow plum rounding things out. This is an easy-to-sip Trebbiano at a value price. ALEXANDER PEARTREE

    "Trebì" Trebbiano d'Abruzzo DOC 2023
  • Trebì is Tenuta Talamonti's interpretation of the classic Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, a fresh white wine that certainly needs no introduction. In this case, the estate's vineyards are located in the municipality of Loreto Aprutino, on the slopes of the Gran Sasso. An enchanted corner of the region that lies at the foot of the mountain and looks towards the not too distant sea. We are about 300 metres above sea level, in an ideal position for growing vines, thanks to a warm climate and beneficial temperature excursions between day and night. The grapes are harvested by hand at the beginning of September. After destemming and cold maceration, alcoholic fermentation is induced at a controlled temperature. Straw yellow in colour with greenish reflections that denote its freshness, this Trebbiano has a rich bouquet of floral notes, with hints of apple and peach. In the mouth, on the other hand, it is fresh and drinkable, pleasantly acidic and endowed with an intriguing mineral sapidity. A wine made to be drunk young, it goes perfectly with seafood dishes and classic grilled fish.

Founded in 2001, Tenuta Talamonti produces typical and above all sustainable wines, thanks to its 75 hectares of vineyards (and olive groves). We are located in Loreto Aprutino, Abruzzo. All the vineyards have obtained SQNPI integrated production certification, the Italian national certification programme. Moreover, since 2015, the family has decided to source its energy only from wind turbines and solar panels to significantly reduce its impact on the environment. Today, Tenuta Talamonti's wines are available in over 50 countries around the world and regularly receive excellent ratings from the strictest wine critics.
