Maso Toresella is the representative office of Cavit, a fine company in the Trentino region. An enchanting place, on the shores of Lake Toblino, surrounded by vineyards. It is here that this La Cuvée, Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT is produced from the processing of four international grape varieties, Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer and Riesling. The Valle dei Laghi, as this area is known, is literally wedged between mountains, at the foot of the Dolomites and not far from Lake Garda. The vineyards are located close to the lake, about 245 metres above sea level. The climate, cool but not too cool, is characterised by a constantly blowing breeze, the famous Ora del Garda, which makes the environment suitable for obtaining wines with important characters of finesse and elegance. The different varieties, harvested by hand in the second and third decade of September, are taken to the cellar to be initially destemmed and crushed. This is followed by cold maceration of the skins for 6 hours to facilitate aromatic extraction. The must is then sent to fermentation in stainless steel tanks, and the wine is aged sur lie until bottling. Straw yellow in colour with greenish highlights, the nose reveals a complex and elegant bouquet, with fruity aromas reminiscent of fresh citrus fruits, such as citron, and white-fleshed fruit, Golden apple, Williams pear and peach. Tropical fruit notes of pineapple and the less intense spicy notes of sage and spearmint complete the bouquet. In the mouth, it is a well-structured wine with excellent minerality and a harmonious, fresh finish.
