  • If Capichera is one of the Sardinian wineries most appreciated in the world by experts and enthusiasts, it is also (and perhaps above all) because of the long experimental work it has carried out over the years, particularly on the use of Vermentino. One of Capichera's great challenges, in fact, was to be the first to vinify Vermentino in barriques. And this VT, or Vendemmia Tardiva, was born precisely from this process. After vinification, in fact, VT remains in the cellar for at least two years from the harvest. It can thus express its strong, unmistakable and profound character, so much so that it is often considered the most representative wine of Capichera's high quality. Straw yellow in colour with slight golden reflections, this wine appears very clear in the glass, with intense and complex aromas. Notes reminiscent of orange blossom, lemon, aromatic herbs. Then wisteria, lavender flowers, liquorice and citrus honey. In the mouth, however, it is pleasantly dry but at the same time warm, rich and pulpy, with citrus and honeyed tones. The finish is long and caressing with great aftertaste persistence. Fish and shellfish dishes. Fabulous with lobster.
