    • TypeVino spumante dosaggio zero
    • Location Franciacorta
    • Grapes 90% Chardonnay, 10% Pinot Nero
    • Sensations Colour: Brilliant and luminous, with minute perlage. Nose: Initially fresh and floral, later more complex and mineral with age. Very crystalline. Taste: played on mineral and refined savouriness, lively and rich.
    • Vinification The grapes are harvested by hand and placed in 18 kg crates to preserve the perfectly intact bunches during transport to the winery. Immediately after harvesting, the grapes are loaded into a special press that performs a progressive soft pressing, in order to extract the best part of the juice: the flower must. The first alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with constant control of fermentation temperatures. In the spring following the harvest, the wine is bottled (tirage) and aged in contact with the yeasts for a minimum of 30 months at controlled temperatures and away from light sources. The peculiarity of the bottle's conformation gives a wider exchange between yeasts and wine. With disgorgement (dégorgement), the liqueur d'expedition is introduced, which is sugar-free for this particular product. The bottles then rest in the cellar for a further 5 months.

"Animapura" Franciacorta DOCG Pas Dosé 2018
    • Castello di Gussago's Franciacorta DOCG Pas Dosé ‘Animapura’ represents the pure essence of the Franciacorta terroir. To the eye, it is immediately captivating for its brilliant, luminous colour, with a fine perlage that develops slowly, the sign of a wine with long meditations. On the nose, the initial impact is fresh and floral, but with time it evolves into a complexity that reveals its mineral soul. It is a crystalline bouquet, reflecting the purity of the absence of dosage and the respect for the grapes. In the mouth, the Pas Dosé Animapura is an explosion of mineral savouriness, lively and intense. The taste texture is refined, almost essential, enhanced by the vibrant freshness that persists on the palate, giving a richness that grows sip after sip. Every detail of this wine is played on the balance between power and finesse, between vivacity and structure, ideal for those seeking a Franciacorta in its most authentic form. Perfect with raw fish dishes or oysters, this Franciacorta also proves to be an excellent partner for more complex and savoury dishes, highlighting its versatile and sophisticated soul.

Castello di Gussago is one of those places where every element contributes to creating perfect harmony. Located on Monte della Santissima, in the municipality of Gussago, this ancient Roman and Longobard settlement is nestled in the picturesque Franciacorta region. From the top of the Barbisone hill, towers a monumental complex that, with its battlements, pinnacles and turrets, offers a fascinating spectacle to anyone heading from Brescia towards Lake Iseo. In this unique setting, the Castello di Gussago winery has found its ideal habitat. The beating heart of the winery is its 20 hectares of vineyards, which are distinguished by a variety of soils and exposures. Four of these hectares are located at high altitude, terraced and surrounded by the old convent, with clay-limestone soils ideal for viticulture. The other 16 hectares, distributed in the municipality of Gussago, are mostly in elevated areas, characterised by loose moraine soils with a good skeleton component. Six hectares are destined for the production of Cabernet and Merlot grapes, used for the vinification of Curtefranca Rosso. The remaining 14 are reserved for the cultivation of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, used mainly for the production of sparkling wine base and for Curtefranca white.
