  • It is good and does not harm the environment. We are talking about Nizza DOCG Cascina Nuova, an organic wine proposed here by Araldica. It is made from grapes from the beautiful hills of Nizza Monferrato, one of the most vocated areas in Piedmont for viticulture. The soils are predominantly calcareous, with sandstone marls. A fortunate combination that gives the wines an extraordinary minerality and beautiful aromatic complexity. The organic management of the vineyard also respects nature and biodiversity, guaranteeing grapes of the highest quality without the use of chemical pesticides or artificial fertilisers. Even in the cellar, Nizza DOCG Cascina Nuova is produced according to strict standards. The grapes are carefully selected to ensure that only the best bunches are sent for processing. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks while oak barrels are used for the subsequent ageing phase, allowing this Barbera to develop complexity and aromatic depth. In the glass, Nizza DOCG Cascina Nuova has an intense ruby red colour, with hints of cherry and berries, enriched by light toasted and spicy notes deriving precisely from the ageing in wood. In the mouth it is soft and generous, with an enveloping taste of black cherry and plum. The fresh acidity, typical of the Barbera grape variety, gives balance and liveliness. The finish is long and intense, with a persistence that invites a new sip. Its structure and complexity make it ideal with roast beef or grilled fillets.
