Vezzoli's Franciacorta DOCG Rosé Brut is a refined wine. The climate of the region, influenced by Lake Iseo and the proximity of the Pre-Alps, allows the grapes to ripen perfectly. The cool microclimate also ensures that the vineyards have the right balance of sun and ventilation. The Rosé Brut is made from Pinot Noir, which gives the wine body, structure and an aromatic complexity ranging from red fruits to floral and undergrowth notes. Made following the SoloUva Method, this natural approach excludes the addition of exogenous sugars, maintaining the integrity and quality of the grapes. These are harvested by hand and treated with care. After a gentle crushing, the musts ferment in temperature-controlled steel tanks until the first months of the following year. At this point, the base wines are blended to obtain a balanced blend, which is then bottled for the second fermentation. Maturation on the lees lasts at least 24 months. In the glass, it has an elegant salmon pink colour, brilliant and inviting. On the nose, it releases a complex aromatic bouquet, dominated by fresh notes of red fruits such as wild strawberries and blackcurrants, accompanied by delicate floral accents of rose and undergrowth. In the mouth it impresses with its freshness and liveliness. The texture is fruity and lively, with pleasant acidity providing balance and an enveloping structure. Juicy flavours of red fruits and a touch of citrus emerge, refreshing the palate and making the taste experience intense and prolonged. The fineness of the bubbles accentuates the sensation of fullness and makes each sip harmonious and persistent.
Tradition and Innovation in a Sustainable Franciacorta. All this, and much more, is Vezzoli, an interesting reality in Franciacorta. The company, in fact, has its roots in the winemaking tradition of Franciacorta, a land renowned for its sparkling wines. For over a century, the Vezzoli family has handed down the passion for winemaking from generation to generation. In 1994, with the landing in Erbusco, in the heart of Franciacorta, the production of quality wines began. Here, Giuseppe, Maria, Dario and Jessica Vezzoli run the family-run business, personally involved in every stage of the production process, from the vineyard to the cellar. One of the special features of the Vezzoli winery is the use of the SoloUva method, a revolutionary choice compared to the traditional Metodo Classico. Since 2008, the company has developed an innovative technique involving the exclusive use of grape must for refermentation, avoiding the addition of exogenous sugars such as cane sugar. This method, designed specifically for the climate of Franciacorta, allows the terroir to be exploited to the full, bringing the pure expression of the terroir into the glass: wines rich in fruit and with an enveloping structure, fully expressing the personality of the area. Vezzoli has also chosen to embrace a sustainable approach, thanks to the Cu-Free philosophy, avoiding the use of copper, traditionally used as a fungicide, to preserve the microbial life of the soil and minimise environmental impact. Copper, in fact, although effective against vine diseases, tends to accumulate in the soil, compromising soil quality in the long term. This approach enables the company to ensure clean production and environmentally friendly viticulture while sustaining high quality standards.
