Tradition and innovation in a sustainable Franciacorta. All this and much more is Vezzoli, an interesting reality in Franciacorta. The company has its roots in the winemaking tradition of Franciacorta, a region known for its sparkling wines. For over a century, the Vezzoli family has passed down a passion for winemaking from generation to generation. In 1994, with the landing in Erbusco, in the heart of Franciacorta, the production of quality wines began. Here, Giuseppe, Maria, Dario and Jessica Vezzoli manage the family business and are personally involved in every phase of the production process, from the vineyard to the cellar. One of the special features of the Vezzoli winery is the application of the SoloUva method, a revolutionary decision compared to the traditional Metodo Classico. Since 2008, the company has developed an innovative technique that uses only grape must for fermentation and dispenses with the addition of exogenous sugars such as cane sugar. This method, developed specifically for the climate of Franciacorta, allows the terroir to be fully exploited and the pure expression of the terroir to be brought into the glass: wines that are rich in fruit and have an enveloping structure that fully expresses the personality of the area. Vezzoli has also adopted a sustainable approach, thanks to the Cu-Free philosophy, which avoids the use of copper, traditionally used as a fungicide, to preserve microbial life in the soil and minimise environmental impact. Although copper is effective against vine diseases, it tends to accumulate in the soil and impair soil quality in the long term. This approach enables the company to ensure clean production and environmentally friendly viticulture while maintaining high quality standards.
