Asterìas, in Greek, means starfish. This is the first white wine produced by the Tempa di Zoè winery and is made from pure Fiano grapes. It takes its inspiration from Monte Stella, a massif that rises in the Cilento National Park and dominates the vineyard from which the grapes used to produce this wine come. Alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks after soft pressing, at the end of vinification it matures for at least six months, partly in steel tanks and partly in French oak barrels. Fiano coming from the coast, it reveals itself as a generous and sapid wine. The nose immediately recalls citrus and white peach, with delicate nuances of chamomile and honey. In the mouth, instead, it is fresh, sapid and very long, offering a perfect correspondence between the nose and the mouth. It is the ideal wine to accompany fish lunches and dinners. But for those who prefer the countryside to the sea, even a simple platter of fresh cheeses will give great satisfaction.
