100% Gaglioppo. One of the most representative grape varieties of the Librandi winery, it is here proposed in a particularly pleasant version. Gaglioppo, an indigenous Calabrian grape, is a black grape variety that, like many other varieties typical of our South, probably arrived in Italy from Greece. Here it has not struggled to find the ideal conditions to thrive, thanks to its strong adaptability to the most extreme conditions. Gaglioppo is not afraid of drought and the suffocating heat that characterises the summers in this remote corner of Italy. Vinified with care and good technique, it is capable of producing very full-bodied wines, rich in alcohol and tannins. Wines that, to be fully appreciated, require long bottle ageing before ending up on the table. Asylia Rosso, Melissa DOC, has a beautiful ruby red colour in the glass. The nose expresses immediate fruity notes reminiscent of berries and spices. In the mouth, however, despite its strong structure, it is immediately well-balanced, fresh, dynamic and satisfying. A perfect wine "throughout the meal", it pleasantly accompanies cured meats, meat sauces and even white meats.
