Imbottigliato da TN1893
With its beautiful, elegant label and the Trentodoc denomination prominently displayed, this bottle is destined not to go unnoticed. After all, sparkling wine is considered 'the highest and most refined expression of Trentino wine production'. An important bubble that takes time: months, years. But the wait will be amply repaid from the very first tasting when you discover a wine that has the character that comes from a unique climate, altitude and that is the very essence of this magnificent land. A 100% Chardonnay from vineyards 350 metres above sea level, the grapes are harvested by hand to be vinified in white. This is followed by an ageing phase in steel, prior to draught. Then, after frothing, the wine matures for over 30 months on the lees, until disgorgement and dosage (extremely limited). Spectacular already to the eye, the wine is golden in colour, with fine, incessant bubbles. The nose reveals a fresh and intense bouquet, with vaguely spicy aromas of candied fruit and citrus fruits, all combined with classic bread crust. In the mouth, it is surprising for its balance and length. A fresh and versatile wine, perfect as an aperitif or in combination with fish dishes, shellfish, white meats and mature cheeses.
Nestled in the province of Trento, Vallagarina, Lagertal in German, defines the last stretch between the mountains of the valley crossed by the Adige River. Here, where the Southern Alps impose themselves for the last time with peaks from 1,000 to 2,000 metres, before descending towards the Po Valley, a long history has favoured settlements, villages and castles. It is in this enchanted corner of Italy that the Zago family has set up its farm with vineyards in Reviano, a small village known for being a moraine plateau that favours the growth of grapes, giving a special flavour to the wine. From here, among other things, there is a spectacular view over the entire valley and you can admire the magnificent Adige River flowing through the vines. Lagertal extends over 2 hectares, at an altitude of 450 metres. The total annual production is about 25,000 bottles, obtained in full respect of traditional methods and selecting only the best raw materials, to guarantee quality and balance to the final product.
