Famille Hugel offers this typical Alsatian white. We are talking about a Pinot Gris AOC Alsace, rich and full, but still dry. A particularly versatile wine with excellent ageing potential. It comes from grapes harvested exclusively by hand in vineyards rooted in soils rich in clay and limestone, with a high percentage of estate-grown grapes. Harvested in small crates, the grapes are transported to the presses, filled by gravity, without any pumping or other mechanical intervention. After pressing, the must is decanted for a few hours and then fermented in steel tanks. The following spring, the wine is lightly filtered before bottling and the bottles are placed in the winery's cellars until sale. In the glass it has a brilliant colour with light greenish reflections reminiscent of fir buds in spring. The nose is pleasantly aromatic, well enriched with ripe fruit such as apple, pear and apricot, as well as brioche, vanilla and pistachio. In the mouth it is juicy and balanced, with a refreshing finish. It is a classic Pinot Grigio from Alsace, fine, precise and reassuring.
