Ronco delle Cime is one of the fine Friulian whites offered by Venica & Venica. It is a Cru, i.e. a wine from a single vineyard. In this case, Ronco delle Cime, located in the highest part of the hillside. An area particularly suited for the cultivation of Friulano. The hill, steep and characterised by a multitude of microclimates, is surrounded by woods that give the soil an important mineral component. The ideal sun exposure and the cool, breezy climate also contribute to a grape rich in aromas and flavours. Vinification includes a short maceration phase of the grapes at a low temperature to extract the most delicate aromas of the original grape variety. Then, after fermentation, the wine matures partly in wooden barrels and partly in steel, giving Ronco delle Cime complexity and harmony. In the glass it has a brilliant golden yellow colour. On the nose it offers an intense bouquet of aromas, with hints of William pear, yellow peach, herbs, wild flowers and a slight hint of almond. In the mouth, however, it is a wine of great structure, warm and harmonious, with a pleasant savouriness and freshness. The intense fruity hints are accompanied by a persistent finish with an almondy aftertaste typical of the variety. Ronco delle Cime is a versatile wine. Its elegance and complexity make it an excellent companion for fish dishes, savoury first courses, mature cheeses, cured meats and eggs.
