    "Campaltino" Toscana Bianco IGT 2022
  • This Campaltino Bianco, Toscana IGT proposed by Vecchia Cantina di Montepulciano is made mainly from Trebbiano grapes. After all, Trebbiano is the most cultivated and representative white grape variety in Tuscany, a region otherwise dedicated to the production of red wines. In this case, the Trebbiano comes from vineyards halfway up the hill, between 250 and 300 metres above sea level. The vinification is simple but precise. Super gentle pressing and decanting of the must before fermentation begins at a controlled temperature. The result is a wine characterised by a beautiful straw-yellow colour with greenish reflections. On the nose, it has a beautiful, delicate bouquet with hints of fresh fruit and white flowers. In the mouth, however, it is well balanced, with a pleasant finish reminiscent of bitter almonds. Excellent as an aperitif, this wine has only one flaw: it always finishes too early.
