"Lôna Bôna" Sangiovese Ravenna IGT 2023
  • Azienda Agricola Trerè's Romagna Sangiovese DOC Lôna Bôna is a fine wine from the territory, sincere and genuine. The vineyards of Azienda Agricola Trerè are located at an altitude between 100 and 120 metres above sea level, with an east-south-east exposure, ideal for ensuring excellent sunshine and perfect ripening of the grapes. The soils in this area are loamy-clayey, particularly fertile and capable of giving the wine a beautiful, complex structure. Lôna Bôna, from the Romagnolo dialect, Luna Buona, is produced exclusively from Sangiovese grapes, the most representative variety of the region. The vines, planted between 1999 and 2005, benefit from a mild climate and careful, sustainable agronomic management that enhances the naturalness of the fruit. Harvested in September, when the grapes reach perfect ripeness, the bunches are picked by hand to preserve the integrity of the fruit. After the harvest, the grapes are brought to the cellar and carefully vinified. The wine is matured in stainless steel tanks for 2 months to maintain the freshness and purity of the aromas. It then rests in the bottle for a further 2 months, before being finally put on the market. To the eye, the Lôna Bôna is an intense ruby red colour. On the nose, it offers an interesting call of floral aromas, with dominant notes of violets and roses. In the mouth, however, it is delicate and harmonious, with smooth tannins and a gentle finish. Lôna Bôna is a versatile wine, suitable for multiple pairings. It goes well with traditional Romagnola cured meats, such as coppa and prosciutto crudo.

An oasis of 35 hectares of vineyards in the hills of Faenza. The Trerè farm was established in the early 1960s. It was founded by Valeriano Trerè, father of Morena, the current owner. It started with 14 hectares, on the first hills of Faenza. Podere Saccona, this is the name of the estate, is located in a magical place, rich in noble traditions and unique ceramic art treasures. It began by producing three DOC wines of the area, Albana, Trebbiano and Sangiovese. Then, in 1976, his daughter joined the company, who discovered in herself a strong passion for wine production. Today, the third generation, represented by their son Massimiliano, has also entered the business. Now the farm, after the acquisition of Podere Ca' Lunga and another 3 hectares of Podere Saccona, covers an area of 35 hectares, 31 of which are cultivated with vines. Many wines produced and the aim of continuing to enhance the rich natural heritage they have at their disposal. Especially now that, finally, Romagnoli wines are also recognised and appreciated throughout the world.
