Verdeca is a grape that is relatively unknown to wine lovers. It is an autochthonous vine of our South that grows well on poor soils and in a very hot climate. In Puglia, in particular, you can find some very interesting ones like this one proposed in purity by Notte Rossa. The vineyards are located in a hilly area north of Taranto, about 150 meters above sea level. What contributes to the pleasantness of this wine is the natural temperature range between day and night which guarantees a long and complete maturation for the grapes. The processing in the cellar is simple but accurate. Controlled temperature, only stainless steel and selected yeasts are wisely used to give life to a pleasantly fresh wine with a very marked mineral character. Straw yellow, in the glass it reveals a rich and floral bouquet. Try it with seafood and shellfish.
