CHARACTERISTICS
  • TypeVino bianco fermo
  • Location Veneto
  • Grapes 100% Garganega
  • Sensations Intense golden yellow in colour, on the nose the fragrances are of yellow-fleshed and exotic fruit with an unmistakable note of honey. In the mouth, the wine is balanced, elegant and harmonious, in perfect equilibrium with the bouquet.
  • Vinification Harvested and selected by hand, 30% of the grapes are dried for about 20-30 days in large, ventilated rooms to favour the reduction of the percentage of water and the concentration of sugars contained in the grapes. Once the fresh grapes have also been harvested, a short cold maceration of the marc follows after destemming and then, at the end of fermentation, 50% of the must is refined in vats on its fine lees and the other 50% in 30 hl oak casks for 6-7 months. After bottling, the wine matures in the bottle for at least 6 months.

"Marani" Bianco Veronese IGT Magnum 2021
  • 100% Garganega. No concessions in terms of quality. Marani, in fact, is the result of a strict selection of grapes from hillside vineyards in the Soave area, north of the municipality of Colognola ai Colli. Bianco Veronese IGT, the grapes that have reached perfect ripeness are harvested and selected by hand, then placed in drying lofts where they wither for at least 40 days, favouring an important reduction in the percentage of water and the consequent concentration of the sugars contained in the grapes. Traditional processing with a short cold maceration of the marc, part of the must is fermented in oak barrels. At the end of vinification, all the wine is matured 'sur lie'. Intense golden yellow in colour, the nose evokes notes of ripe fruit and honey. The mouth reveals a voluminous and aristocratic white. An important wine that requires a decisive pairing. Excellent alongside a rich risotto, it can also accompany fish recipes or medium-aged cheeses.

In 2018, the Sartori winery turned 120 years old. This fact is probably enough to understand that it is one of the most incredible realities of the Veronese territory. The history of Sartori began in 1898 when Pietro bought his first vineyard in Negrar, in the heart of Valpolicella. "An 'eccentric personality, but magmatic from a business point of view', as Pietro Sartori is described by his heirs, he was one of the most popular 'restaurateurs' in the area. The trattoria Sartori, in fact, was a must-visit address for merchants, businessmen and small industrialists in the area, to whom Pietro never failed to offer an excellent Veronese Rosso wine, as it was called at the time. Hence, first the decision to expand his business as a wine merchant, and then the decision to start producing on his own, so that good wine would never be missing from the tables of his loyal customers. Today, Sartori is a successful company with an international vocation, realising over 80% of its turnover in more than 50 countries, in Europe, North and South America, Russia and South East Asia. Its range proudly includes the great Veronese classics: Valpolicella, Soave, Bardolino, Bardolino Chiaretto, always reinterpreted in an elegant and personalised key.
