Sparkling wine by MIONETTO S.P.A. / Valdobbiadene
A unique sparkling wine born from the encounter between two territories that represent the excellence of Italian bubbles: the Treviso and Trentino areas. An Extra Dry sparkling wine, therefore moderately soft, it comes from a blend of red grapes vinified in rosé. After super-soft pressing, the grapes are left to macerate for a few hours, giving the cuvée a brilliant rosé colour. This is followed by the classic sparkling phase in an autoclave, according to the Charmat method. Brilliant peach blossom pink in colour, with slight purple highlights and a rich, persistent mousse, this Sergio 1887 Rosé has fresh, fruity aromas, with predominant notes of pink grapefruit, blackcurrant and vague hints of dog rose. In the mouth, it is pleasantly fresh but well balanced, with distinct hints of raspberry. Excellent as an aperitif, it goes well with delicate fish-based appetisers. Fabulous with Prosciutto San Daniele, it goes perfectly with risotto and raw seafood.
Mionetto was founded in 1887 by the love and passion for the land and for working in the cellar of the family's founder, Francesco Mionetto. The company is located on the hills of Valdobbiadene, in the heart of the historical Prosecco production area, immersed in a unique landscape, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here Mionetto has been able, over more than a century of history, to become an interpreter of its territory of origin and become one of the most representative Italian sparkling wine producers on the international scene. Well-known and appreciated in Italy, over the years Mionetto has also established itself as an international brand thanks to its modern and innovative imprint. Constant attention to quality, at every stage of the production process. This, combined with continuous innovation and unmistakable style, are the strengths of the fine house from Veneto. Since 2008, the winery has been part of the Henkell-Freixenet Group, one of the world's largest producers of sparkling wines.
